Traditional Thai Bodywork is a branch of Traditional Thai Medicine with origins in the daily self-care practice of Reusi Dat Ton. In Thailand, it has been part of treatments for achieving and maintaining health and well-being for thousands of years.

Each Thai bodywork session is different and addresses the physical and energetic needs of the individual as they present that day. Thai massage sessions incorporate deep static and rhythmic compression, passive stretching, point work, and work on the channels of the body. Depending on the current needs of the client, we may incorporate cupping, scraping, balms and liniments, or hot herbal compresses. Sessions can be therapeutic by focusing on specific areas of discomfort, or they can be gentle, nurturing, and relaxing.

A Thai massage is performed on a heated mat on the ground with the client in loose, comfortable clothing. We recommend wearing sweats or yoga pants and a long-sleeved shirt or t-shirt.
